We don't take it very seriously (as with most things), and have become infamous within the league for our epic match reports and press releases.
I run a league called the Company Challenge Trios. All of the eight teams involved have a good laugh with each other, and although it's nice to win, we don't take it too seriously, A bit of "light" banter between Carol (Grandma) and Dave (Fat B*****d!) can be heard most weeks.
Motorbike riding. I own an old Yamaha XJ600 which is virtually past it's sell by date, but now that the weather is improving, it still gives me a bit of a buzz to go for a burn when I can. I used to have a Kawasaki ZXR750-H1, probably the meanest thing on two wheels ever to hit the streets, Boy! That thing could shift. And it'd give you a chance to sample the "earth, sky, earth, sky, nee-naw nee-naw, hospital food for a month" sketch if you didn't show it the respect it demanded. One of these days, if I'm a good boy and save all my pennies, I might be able to get another one (sigh!!)
Guitars. Again something I haven't got the time to do as much as I like. I've got a B.C. Rich 'Warlock' which I put through a Zoom 1010 pedal rack into a Torque 100W amp. Don't worry if you haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, neither have I :~) I few friends of mine, namely, Johnny, Lee, Steve and Eric form a local band known as "Eternal Night". They play some extreme heavy metal, and I quite like most of it. As soon as I get the site address I'll add a link I've been in a couple of bands, but the best one was an outfit called '4 what it's worth' which I joined in 1990 while serving with 50 Missile Regiment R.A in Germany. It consisted of : John Lead Guitars/Bass and moderate song writing skills Rick Rhythm Gutiars/Bass and general tom foolery Kes Drums/ percussion and wacky ideas for things to do witha violin bow Lil Vocals and telling us how good we were Me Rhythm Guitars and all round brilliance
