BD14868_.GIF (419 bytes) Fistly, the most important people in my life are my kids, Danny(10), Becky(8) and the newest little Gwatty to arrive, Liam. I'm as proud as punch of all three of them. There's a couple of pictures of them on the photo page if you want a look.

BD14868_.GIF (419 bytes) Now for the last twenty six years or so, I've lived in Hull, in Gods' county, the East Riding of Yorkshire. I personally quite like the place even though it has got a bit of a rough and ready reputation. But one good thing it has got, is Hull FC  rugby league club. Currently 4th(14/08/01) in the Super League,  and in front of the Leeds Rhinos (or Whinos depending on your allegiance!!)

BD14868_.GIF (419 bytes) As Well as watching and supporting the real thing, my brother in law, Matt, and me take part in a fantasy rugby league, the European Interactive Rugby League. EIRL is a 'sim', whereby your team contains real player names, but their performance is computer generated each game. It's difficult to explain in any more detail, so just have a look at the site.

We don't take it very seriously (as with most things), and have become infamous within the league for our epic match reports and press releases.

BD14868_.GIF (419 bytes) Monday night is bowling night at the Hull Bowl. My father in law Dave, occasionally my brother in law Matt, my dad Ralph, my younger brother Dean and as soon as he can fit in a papoose, Liam all enjoy this most noble sport.

I run a league called the Company Challenge Trios. All of the eight teams involved have a good laugh with each other, and although it's nice to win, we don't take it too seriously, A bit of "light" banter between Carol (Grandma) and Dave (Fat B*****d!) can be heard most weeks.

BD14868_.GIF (419 bytes) There are a few other things that I'd love to have more time to do, but there's only so many hours in a day.

Motorbike riding. I own an old Yamaha XJ600 which is virtually past it's sell by date, but now that the weather is improving, it still gives me a bit of a buzz to go for a burn when I can. I used to have a Kawasaki ZXR750-H1, probably the meanest thing on two wheels ever to hit the streets, Boy! That thing could shift. And it'd give you a chance to sample the "earth, sky, earth, sky, nee-naw nee-naw, hospital food for a month" sketch if you didn't show it the respect it demanded. One of these days, if I'm a good boy and save all my pennies, I might be able to get another one (sigh!!)

Guitars. Again something I haven't got the time to do as much as I like. I've got a B.C. Rich 'Warlock' which I put through a Zoom 1010 pedal rack into a Torque 100W amp. Don't worry if you haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, neither have I    :~)

I few friends of mine, namely, Johnny, Lee, Steve and Eric form a local band known as "Eternal Night". They play some extreme heavy metal, and I quite like most of it. As soon as I get the site address I'll add a link

I've been in a couple of bands, but the best one was an outfit called '4 what it's worth' which I joined in 1990 while serving with 50 Missile Regiment R.A in Germany. It consisted of :

John       Lead Guitars/Bass and moderate song writing skills

Rick       Rhythm Gutiars/Bass and general tom foolery

Kes        Drums/ percussion and wacky ideas for things to do witha violin bow

Lil           Vocals and telling us how good we were

Me         Rhythm Guitars and all round brilliance
